Girls Bowling 2023-24 Season Recap
The 2023-24 Conwell-Egan Catholic girls bowling team compiled 31 points in the Win column and just 9 in the Loss column, finishing second in the Philadelphia Catholic League to a strong St. Hubert squad. At the Eastern Pennsylvania Regionals CEC placed 12th.
“We lost to Bonnor/Prendergast by just 15 pins and they went on to win the PCL,” said head coach Patrick Donlen, who led CEC to two PCL Titles in the last four years.
The team knocked down 17,612 pins this year, including a high series of 1,885 pins. “That’s a pretty good series for four girls,” Donlen.
The Eagles were led by senior Kayla McIntosh, who earned All-Philadelphia Catholic League honors for the third time. This year the graduating McIntosh handed the torch off to freshman Katie Poremba, who began her CEC career by earning All-Catholic honors and placing 33rd in the Eastern Regional. “That’s quite an accomplishment for a freshman,” Donlen said.
Other All-PCL selections this year include juniors Brooke Bannon and Kamryn Moody and senior Lindsay Klewin.
