Perez New CEC Girls Volleyball Coach
FAIRLESS HILLS, PA—Soraida Perez of Philadelphia has been named the new Conwell-Egan Catholic High School Girls Volleyball Coach, CEC Director of Athletics Patrick Donlen announced.
“I’m so excited to embark on this new journey,” said Perez, who comes to CEC from St. Hubert High School, where she served as the Head Volleyball Coach. “I’m even more excited to take the CEC program to the next level and win the Philadelphia Catholic League.”
At St. Hubert Perez led her squad to the PCL playoffs in each of her years there, as a JV coach and as a varsity head coach.
Perez is also the owner and coach at Sori Sports Volleyball Academy, where she teaches the sport to girls ages 4-18.
Perez is a graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia, where she was twice named All-State in volleyball. Perez earned NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament MVP honors both years as well. At CCP she served as team captain of both the volleyball and basketball teams while earning a degree in Business Administration.
Perez graduated from Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia, where she was a four-year starter on the volleyball and basketball teams, and earned All-Public League honors in volleyball all four years. Perez was also selected to compete in the Volleyball Junior Olympics (18 years old and under).
